There is a Sawamura Award for professional baseball in Japan in commemoration of Eiji Sawamura (1917-1944). This award is sent to a pitcher of hard throwers rather than technical pitchers.
Sawamura was a legendary pitcher, and in the 1930s he was hitting American major leaguers one after another.
Sawamura died in the war. The war also kills the pitcher, which has become a legend until today.
It’s scary.
