Japanese Jomon Culture (Part 2) Sannai Maruyama Site 日本の縄文文化(その2) 三内丸山遺跡

The northernmost area of Honshu which is the largest and most important island in the Japanese archipelago,  seems to have been the center of Japan in the Jomon period thousands of years ago. There are Jomon archaeological sites here and there.

Among them, the Sannai Maruyama Site in Aomori Prefecture has many relics excavated, and there are facilities for tours, making it a very attractive place to visit.

It is believed that there was a huge building made of chestnut wood here. In reality, only the traces of the pillars have been found, but scholars have made the imagination strong and reproduced it.

I would like to ask the Jomon people if this is correct.
