Recommended accommodation for those traveling on a budget from overseas (Lake Towada, Aomori Prefecture)
Cherry blossom season is the best time to visit Japan. In major cities such as Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, the trees are often in full bloom around the end of March. However, at this time of year, there are a lot of visitors from overseas, and Japanese students are on spring break, so public transportation is quite crowded.
Cherry blossoms generally bloom from the south, and the front reaches Sapporo, Hokkaido in May.
I found a very nice accommodation for people from overseas in Aomori Prefecture at the northern tip of Honshu.
The accommodation fee is 2,000 yen, and breakfast bread and coffee are free to take.
According to the owner, when he was young, he went on cheap trips overseas and stayed at cheap hotels. Therefore, he is well aware of what overseas travelers are looking for, and have created a facility that meets those needs.
In Aomori Prefecture, cherry blossoms bloom from late April to May. Why not take your time and enjoy the cherry blossoms at a different time than in the crowded Kyoto or Tokyo areas?
