Food Culture sight seeing (general)

Tasty conger and beautiful sunset in Nushima Island, Hyogo Prefecture (兵庫県沼島の鱧と夕日)

The Japanese archipelago consists of four mainlands, Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu, and many islands. Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, which boasts the 7th largest size, has an island that can be said to belong to it. That is Nushima Island on the south side.

There are 10 round-trip ferry boats a day from Awaji Island’s Habu Port. I had a chance to stay at a guest house (July 2017).

This area is a high-class fish producing area called conger, and it was in season, so it appeared on the dinner menu.

The sea at sunset was very fantastic.
